Mentone is a census-designated place (CDP) in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 7,803 at the 2000 census.

Mentone is not incorporated and has no mayor or city council. Because Mentone is not incorporated, San Bernardino County provides the municipal or “city-type” services to our residents. The Board of Supervisors is the governmental body of San Bernardino County. Mentone is a part of San Bernardino County's 3rd District. Neil Derry is the 3rd District Supervisor.

Police and Fire services are provided by San Bernardino County. Property taxes are collected by San Bernardino County. Mentone's public schools are part of the Redlands Unified School District.
